We’ve been thinking about/planning this one for a while (since last year!) so, in collaboration with local crafters/designers + local businesses, and inspired by swapping movements happening around the globe, we are superexcited!! to finally bring you Ottawa’s first clothing swap + modification party this Saturday April 25th!!
What better way to pick up an inexpensive but fabulous wardrobe, spring clean your closets and do it in a sustainable way (in celebration of Earth day/week!)
The night will feature:
>A huge clothing swap, DIY sewing/printing/decoration stations
>Mini-workshops on clothing alteration
>Sewing pods sponsored by Singer
> Featured crafters/designers/artists include Laura Twiss, Robyn Paton, Karina Bergmans, Ashley Parsons, Catherine Sinclair and Melanie Yugo
>Music by DJs Jason Pelletier + Meterman
>A fashion show from local clothing store Victoire
>Bundt cakes and baked goods by Les Aliments Morsel Foods
>Remaining clothing to be donated to a local Ottawa charity.
