Un Petit Architecture Walk Across Alexandra Bridge

Last week I had the opportunity to hear Douglas Cardinal, architect for the Canadian Museum of Civilization in Ottawa and the National Museum of the American Indian in Washington , speak about Canadian identity and architecture. Which reminded me I had some photos to upload.

I took these on my usual Wednesday walk from Hull to Ottawa along the Alexandra Bridge, during the Tulip Festival.

While Ottawa may not be recognized as having the most stunning architecture, this walk (especially on a sunny day makes you realize there are some gems scatteredĀ around the city.

For those of you who want to check out more of what else Ottawa has to offers in terms of heritage and architecture, Doors Open Ottawa is on this weekend, Saturday June 6th and Sunday June 7th.

Also, related to the Canadian Museum of Civilization, we will be hosting another fan-tabulous Spins & Needles installment at the Museum in July. Stay tuned for details!
