With every Spins & Needles comes the research for potential projects. So with this month’s installment at the Canadian Museum of Civilization being associated with Britain’s royal stamp collection – featuring the first postage stamp ever – the hunt turned up some really cool resources.
Like did you know you could design your very own postage stamp on Canada Post – and it’s legal to use! (The U.S. Postal Service has a similar service). Basically you send in any digital photograph/image, choose a border, and send them your order online or via snail mail.
These would be awesome to print out for sending out wedding or shower invitations or greeting cards. Next major holiday, everyone is getting a card with a customized stamp!
