Masterworks East, presented by The Ontario Crafts Council, has arrived in Ottawa – it’s final showing – at the Ottawa School of Art Orleans Campus Gallery in the Shenkman Arts Centre.
The exhibition features objects from an array of media and approaches that assert the talents of eastern regional makers. It’s on show from September 8th to October 18th.
Check out the free Crafttalk on Sunday September 27th from 1:00 – 3:00 pm with artists Karel Aelterman, Chandler Swain, Paula Murray and Penelope Kokkinos. Featured speakers will discuss their experience – their background, why they make, how they make, and what inspires them with a question and answer period after each talk. Talks will be conducted in English, but a bilingual question period will be available for audience members.
