It really is a truly interactive show – from the movement-sensitive The Table, (1984-2001) by Max Dean and Raffaello D’Andrea that follows you where you go, to the large megaphone which gives a voice to the participant by Rebecca Belmore entitled Ayumee-aawach Oomama-mowan: Speaking to Their Mother (1991), to the flying money from the installation Artistique Feeling II (2008) by BGL. The $20 bill that landed at J’s feet as he entered the room was quickly scooped up by one of the security guards. It’s a refreshing use of the Gallery space. Can’t wait to see how participants at next week’s event will (re)act to it!
