It was a hot, muggy night a couple Saturdays ago in Toronto’s east end. Then the sun set and the temperature cooled down, and it became a great night for sipping some brew, listening to beats and working on retro summer projects on the patio at Nathalie-Roze & Co.

Next Saturday August 15th we’re superexcited to be hosting another event in Toronto,  pairing up with DIY queen Nathalie-Roze Fischer at her boutique in Leslieville. And it’ll be on the patio!

We’ve been getting a bit nostalgic over those hazy, lazy days of summer we used to have during our childhood (where is summer now?) when we played in the park, rode our bikes around the neighbourhood, or got shipped off to summer camp.

So what better way to harken back than to host an an all-grown up now retro summer camp party full of DIY projects + DJs playing funky beats!

Spins & Needles Craft + DJ Night is taking the beats + projects outdoors for another crazy interactive party. Theme of the night: Retro DIY Summer Camp Party on the patio.

DJ Jason Pelletier + Kris Steeves hit the decks throughout the night spinning assorted funky/trashy beats.

Dive into the craft bins, bring your own art/craft project, or using the materials provided work on featured projects: recycled kites,-DIY sun visors, yarn octopi and other project surprises.

Oh yeah, and if it rains, we’re taking it inside the store
